Sport / Rubber - Rubber floors are commonly found in gyms, courts, and tracks. This is due to this flooring being slip resistant and shock absorbent- perfect for running, weight training and general exercising. Its durability also lends itself to the heavy foot traffic of these environments.

This flooring is tricky due to the friction created between the soft service and fast moving brush. Not only that, some rubber mats are uneven, creating more places for dirt to tuck away into. It takes the right machine, paired with the right brush to scrub away dirt, dust and sweat from sport rubber flooring.

NOTE FROM OUR EXPERTS:

Always use solution as you scrub to lubricate rubber flooring. If not done correctly, the rubber flooring creates friction with the brush and will wear down the motor. We recommend something like the MAVERICK SOLUTION (Item# MA4).

This is why we recommend our softest brush to tackle this flooring.

  TOP RECOMMENDED SCRUBBER:   Multi-Surface Scrubbers

When it comes to rubber flooring, the MULTIWASH SCRUBBER outperforms in terms of ease of use.

Equipped with fast-moving, counter-rotating cylindrical brushes, these compact scrubbers manage to kick up dirt and debris without dragging on the rubber. For gym spaces with lots of equipment, a smaller scrubber may be preferred to get around and under machines.

3 OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM:

Pay attention to your battery powered machines on rubber flooring.

With added friction, your battery can be easily eaten away. Soft brushes help keep your machine rotating where it needs to and at the proper speed to allow the bristles to dig deep.

OTHER COMPACT SCRUBBERS:   For Midsize Areas with Rubber Flooring

  • Bigger recovery tank allows you to scrub longer without pausing to empty the tank
  • Optional 414DP pad driver, pads and brushes sold separately

Save your battery and your motor.

Adjusting the wheel mechanism on the brush deck of the PAS14G will allow you to adjust the pressure and deter the brush from dragging against the rubber.

In some cases, a smaller machine can actually increase efficiency.

For a large area, the 17" PREDATOR SCRUBBER has a large brush deck to cover more ground, however with rubber flooring there is significantly more traction. With such friction, the brush may stall or skip. To avoid this, you may have to adjust the amount of cleaning solution and run and additional dry pass to pick up any excess.

Unless you mostly clean Medium-Wide Area Spaces, these smaller machines can be more easily pushed along rubber without much pull. Like with the 17” Scrubber, you may have to complete an additional pass but you will exert less energy overall.

For Large, Open Areas, the 20" PREDATOR SCRUBBER has a wide brush deck that combined with the weight of the machine, remains steady on this tricky flooring with little interruption.

Choose a brush 2" smaller than your machine size. When using a riser, a brush the same diameter as your machine can be used.

Sizes 11"-19"

Channeled and grooved for even solution distribution. Soft bristles flex to allow the brush deck to move without much resistance.
