No,burnishers are not designed to strip floors at all like a traditional floor buffer or floor machine would. Floor burnishers are designed to put a high-gloss shine and enhance the look of an established, finished floor. 1600 and 2000 RPM burnishers work fast but lack enough pad pressure for floor stripping and cannot be used with floor stripping chemicals to take a finish off. Again, all burnishers are designed to enhance the shine of a finish but not assisting the application of floor finish.
