Keep Your Epoxy Floors Shining
Durable and pleasing to the eye, epoxy floors are a popular choice for garages, large warehouses and commercial spaces. This style flooring is known for its glossy finish that protects concrete from oil, grease, and other harsh materials.
In order to maintain this slick appearance and durability, you must regularly clean your floors. For day to day cleaning a soft bristled broom or microfiber dust mop will do to remove dust or debris that could scratch the polished coating. To keep your epoxy floor shining, we encourage scheduling some time to give the floor a deeper cleaning with a non-abrasive solution. For this deeper cleaning you will need a floor machine to help you quickly get the job done.
Powr-Flite offers a few floor machines that are fit for the job so which do you choose?
To quickly determine which is the right floor machine for you, simply ask yourself: How much ground are you trying to cover? Square-footage is the perfect indicator for choosing the right machine.
For smaller spaces, like a residential garage, you are going to want a small machine.
Meet the MULTIWASH
Item# PFMW14
~5,500 sq. ft. / hr
This machine is small but mighty. With two counter-rotating cylindrical brushes working at 650 RPMs, the multiwash is gentle enough to not leave markings but powerful for superior cleaning. Simply fill the solution tank and make light work of scrubbing your epoxy floor.
Also available in 18" XL Version which operates at 7,500 sq. ft./ hr.
The best part? The Multiwash can be used on any floor type, so when you're finished scrubbing your epoxy floor you can use this to clean other areas as well!
For larger spaces, like a warehouse with wide aisles, you'll want a larger machine with an even bigger recovery tank.
In this instance, there are two machines to consider:
Enter the PREDATOR
Item# PAS20BA-BC
~17,500 sq. ft. / hr
The Predator Walk Behind Automatic Scrubber helps to maximize efficiency with the large 12 gallon recovery tank so you can cover more ground before having to empty the tank.
Also available in a more compact 17" version with the same size recovery tank.
This machine ships fully assembled, complete with two 12 volt batteries, a charger and pad driver. All you need is your preferred pad or brush!

Others prefer the PHANTOM
Item# PFS20
~20,000 sq. ft. / hr
To make cleaning even easier, a traction-drive floor scrubber like the Phantom helps operators clean over 20,000 square feet per hour with little effort. This machine also features an oversized 16-gallon solution and recovery tank perfect for working large, open spaces with little to no interruption.
Available in 24” version with same size recovery tank.
The Phantom comes fully assembled with two 12-volt batteries and a pad driver included. Not only that, but it also ships with a box of red scrubbing pads so you have everything you need right out of the box!

Other Necessary Accessories
Unless you purchase the Phantom Traction-Drive Scrubber which ships with a box of red scrubbing pads, you’ll need to one last thing to complete your kit: Pads or brushes?
Each of our floor machines needs either a pad or a brush attached to actually perform the cleaning job. This is mostly a matter of preference, but whichever route you choose to go we generally recommend a softer brush or pad. This will give you a thorough clean without harming the epoxy floor coating. With any heavier grit brush or more agressive pad you run the risk of scuffing or scratching the epoxy. This will not only dull the shine, but could effectively ruin the integrity of the epoxy flooring.
PADS
Both the White polishing pad or the standard Red buffing pad will work to clean epoxy flooring. The White pad is extra fine for a softer buff. The Red pad is a bit sturdier which is helpful for buffing out scuff marks and other tough stains.
BRUSHES
Brushes often have a longer lifetime compared to the more economically friendly pads. For cleaning epoxy floors we recommend either the Soft Nylon Brushes
